Founded by two mothers with deep expertise in education, one a Montessori Director and the other a qualified teacher, Acorns Learning Centre was created to offer something traditional learning can often miss: a deeper understanding of the child.

Around this foundation, we blend the strengths of the UK, Singaporean and Chinese education systems with mastery learning.
This allows us to build strong foundations, develop fluency and reasoning, and give each child the right balance of support, challenge and independence.

We identify exactly where your child is, not just by year group, but by genuine understanding. This allows us to strengthen gaps without confusing them by unnecessarily reteaching what they already know.
Each child follows a personalised learning sequence, reviewed and updated regularly through teacher observations, exit tickets and AI-assisted analysis of their progress.
Children move forward when they can show genuine confidence and understanding. We do not rush a child on simply because a curriculum schedule says it is time to move on.

Our English programme develops confident readers, writers and communicators through Montessori language materials, UK curriculum progression and mastery-based teaching.
Children build skills in phonics, grammar, handwriting, spelling, comprehension, vocabulary and creative writing through hands-on learning, structured practice, spiral review and meaningful written expression.
Our Maths programme builds strong foundations through Montessori materials, Singapore-style mastery, Chinese-style fluency and UK curriculum progression.
Children develop number confidence, reasoning, problem-solving and accuracy through hands-on learning, visual models, spiral review and carefully structured practice.
Our 11 Plus programme is tailored to each child’s desired schools, whether grammar or independent. Preparation may include Maths, English, verbal reasoning, non-verbal reasoning, comprehension, creative writing and exam technique.

At Acorns Learning Centre, the monthly fee includes a one-hour session per week for each subject. Sessions can take place during any of our scheduled times on Tuesdays, Thursdays, or Saturdays, offering flexibility to fit your family’s schedule.
For students studying two subjects in one day, we offer 45-minute sessions for each subject, with a 15-minute break in between. This structure ensures the learning remains engaging and manageable, allowing students to stay focused and make the most of their time with us.

We encourage home-based learning to reinforce what’s taught in sessions.
Homework is short and varied—online tasks, handwriting, and reading—taking just 15–30 minutes a day. This daily practice helps build confidence, fluency, and long-term understanding.
